Altered Altoid Mini Album Tin

I decided to make a Christmas mini album from a Altoid tin and it was so much fun to put it together.

You've seen these before, right?

Here it is now...

I altered the inside top and bottom.

Inside the box, the first page

The great thing about making a mini album is that it doesn't cost very much to put this together.

And you can make it as complicated as you want it to be.

I've got several more tins to alter for Christmas.

And tomorrow I'm off from work so I'll be busy finishing up decorating the house for Christmas and making another Altoid tin mini album.

Sunday Blog Love

What a fast week this one has been! Crystal and I were out shopping on Black Friday for eleven hours!
Not quite done yet but only need to find a couple of things.

Cherished Treasures”=

And now on to my Sunday Blog Love this week.
(I am completely obsessed with scrapbooking!)

And this week, my pick is Crate Paper.

blinkie

There's been plenty of blogs showing how to make Christmas tree from paper, fabric and glitter.
I love color and this is are so very pretty!

Check out all the fun extras with this Christmas mini album recipe book! Wouldn't this make you feel so loved at Christmas time, if this was yours?

This mitten mini album is so clever and cute..

I had to show you the inside because I'm a very visual person as I'm sure you are.
What would be more fun, putting this together or giving it to someone you love?

Crate Paper is chalk full of designers who give you step by step instructions on how they made their projects.
Isn't this just a beautiful mini album cover, doesn't it make you wonder what's inside?

Well, here's the inside, how fun is this? A picture on each page with super sweet embellishments.

As I said, they give you lots of instructions on how to make the items and this flower is so pretty.
I'll be making these very soon for a couple of projects that I hope to have done by Christmas time.

Please stop over and check out Crate Paper
to learn more how to make any of these projects or the many, many others they show.

Have a great Sunday!

Sunday Blog Love

Christmas time is one of my favorite seasons, despite the fact that it also represents cold weather & snow. This morning we woke up to freezing rain, which has to be one of the worst things to drive in. But since it's Sunday, we can stay home and wait for the sun to come up and melt it away!

Cherished Treasures”=

And because it's nearly Christmas season, my Sunday Blog Love goes to an amazing blog that recently decorated her dining room wall. I've been constantly thinking how to bring some of those ideas into our home. Let me show you who I'm referring to...

At Halloween time, she made most of everyting that you see...very thrifty and easy to do (copy).

But then she transformed that same space for Christmas.
And lots of pictures and directions on how it was put togeher!

This pretty flowe is actually made out of a dinner napkin, aren't they so pretty?

And who doesn't have one of those builder grade mirrors, Shelly and her hubby built this frame!
The mirror is amazing.

In their home they have some awkward corners and spaces, and rather fight them - they worked with them.
From the chany, to the side table, the picture, the sign with their name - it's so beautiful!

And who doesn't have a pantry that gets out of control very quickly?

And yes, I'm showing the mirror again because I love how they decorated the wall with the plates..and the hooks for the towels just adds a fun element!

And I'm back to the Christmas decorating....isn't it stunning?

I've started collecting things to make my version of the wall decorating, how fun to change
out the hollidays and seasons!

Please stop over and to find out how House of Smith
put these projects together!

Happy Sunday!

Hallway Shutter Shelf

Last weekend, DH and I worked on redoing this area in our home.
Credit for this project goes to Going A Little Coastal.

Here's the area as it was before. This area is at the top of our steps and isn't a very big area.

And how it looks when walking in the front door.

We purchased a unfinished, shutter style closet door, about $35...

And two shelfs from Goodwill, each cost $2. We ended up only using one shelf for this project.

Two hooks(aren't they so ugly!)

And then one candlestick..another Goodwill find for a couple dollars.

Here it is before it was painted...

And the after...

I hung up a couple of my mercury glass acorns..

A glass jar was added to the candlestick..it looks so different.

We love this shutter wall and I can't wait to decorate it each season.
