What's on Your Workspace?

Through Pinterest, I found an interesting and wonderful blog with a linky party
that sounded like fun...

Each week, you share your workspace and the projects you are working on..
this is my first time linking up and of course, I'm late...
it started on Wednesday and I totally forgot that I wanted to
share my space...

Since I spent most of last weekend, fluffing our living room,
I didn't do much in the way of paper crafting...

Let me show you my workspace...

I keep several of my favorite punches out and buy many of off ebay...(much cheaper)
and I love my little paint set that I got from Michaels..I think it was $2.99....

You could say that my first time to this linky party is to share my recent purchases...
I just received the October Morning Cakewalk and My Minds Eye Nostaglia  and embellishments..seriously some of the cutest papers.
These will be hoarded for awhile.
I seem to have trouble using what I buy right away...so hard to cut them up.
Do you have the same problem?

I do have some projects in the works...
love Marion Smith and her hybrid mini's...all done with the Primrose mini
I'll share more of this next week...super cute..

Then of course because I love to pile up on projects,
Marion Smith has a new hybrid mini album...country chic...
and I'll be working on this more
this weekend...

My tabletop in my craft space seems to be the place that I pile things...
I've got a couple of DVD's to watch from Creating Keepsakes

I've got lots of shows to watch off the DVR when I'm crafting...

Real Housewives of New Jersey - has Teresa become crazy? I seriously don't care for her or her husband and her kids are brats..enough said!
Real Housewives of New York - saving up a couple of shows because I don't like to be left hanging..
Gene Simmons Family Jewels - I love Shannon and this season she is really wanting
to adopt now that her kids are grown and out of the house..I can so relate to missing
not having kids in the house and I'm curious to see what happens.
Dallas - I watched this show many, many years ago...
waiting to get a few more shows taped to watch and see if it's any good..

How about you? Do you watch TV when you're crafting?
Do you have any favorite TV shows?

Thanks for stopping by..
and this is a glimpse of my workspace and what I've got going on.

And it's almost the weekend...and it's almost July!
Time flies, doesn't it?

Oh Fiddlestixs - Part Two

Yesterday I shared a wonderful store that I like to visit when I go to spend the weekend with my daughter and her family...how I can limit it to one store is hard to do because there are several
great thrift/junk stores in their town...

Fiddlestixs is a wonderful boutique with old things given new life with paint...
and the prices are reasonable, which makes it even harder to not want to buy everything!
This type of store would be my ideal business to own and operate....
but let me show you my purchase from last week...

Right there in the store, they had this old, red window...
I added the fabric on the back....
I've always wanted to hang a window in our house...

This is what the wall looked like before, I had a nail in the wall and so
I hung this little frame and it is totally lost in the space..

I love how it adds so much color now to the room...I also changed out the curtains to the summery sheer curtain panels...and the room is so much brighter now..

Did you notice the tiered stand in the corner? That's from
Pier One...maybe one of my favorite stores...
we use it to hold magazines and easily becomes full
of magazines because I don't like to throw them away...

On the other side of the loveseat is our sofa table that holds the dresser mirror
we found at Goodwill last year for a couple dollars that we painted...
the lamp is from Pier One and the two pineapples and picture frame are from Goodwill.
The super big basket underneath was an idea I had to put it on top of my
washer/dryer..but it was way to big and it sat on the floor and the
cats kept jumping it in so I added their cat bed and it fits perfectly...
(We have four boy cats and they sleep in a pink bed - guess they love pink too!)

I know I've shared this wall before..the clock and the shelf are from Goodwill.
I think I got the clock for $10, which seems like a lot but on the back
the price sticker was still on it from Hobby Lobby for $39.99
and they have great 50% sales so I did really good....

My little shelf...all painted up and I love to change up the accesories..
it's a great place to show several of my Willow Tree figurines...

Our home is small and for the longest time I wanted to move into a bigger home...
but I really love our home and how cozy everything is...

Thanks for stopping by, I love my new red window...

Oh Fiddlestixs!

The word fiddlestixs isn't a word we hear often these days...
it's a term that was used many years ago...
but it's a word that I say each time I visit my daughter and my granddaughter...

No visit to see them would be complete if we didn't check out several of the quaint
shops in their town...

I love seeing all the castoff furniture revamped with beautiful colors and how inspiring
the neon colors are....let me show you a little of the store...

This is an older picture showing a few of the Christmas items....
it's funny because what I bought last weekend is in this picture....

Don't you just love that old, chippy pillar next to the scruffy door and the colorful frames?

And I'm not sure what I love the most...
the chalkboard window, the bright pink end table,
the green picture frame with the zebra background or the little green frame....

I really loved these vanity trays painted in the bright colors...
I didn't buy one but really love the colors and think I might grab one the next time I get there...
or maybe start searching for one to paint myself...

Do you see the theme? Bright colors
and everything looks new and fresh...love it, don't you?

This is an older picture too so we didn't see this red door but isn't it gorgeous?

Stay tune, tomorrow I'll share my purchase and how it updated our living room...
(DH is not impressed with my purchase but I love it!)

Yeah for Fiddlestixs! ;)

Thanks for stopping by and hope you're all having a great week!

Sunday Blog Love - Linky Party

I love the weekends, don't you?
Too bad they're only two days because I never seem to have enough time to get everything done
Last weekend, I spent the weekend with my daughter and her family
and had lots of time with Macie...

The two of us spent lots of time sitting on the floor and playing with her toys...
and we even managed to do a little shopping and I'll share my vintage find later next week....

Before I go much further, I wanted to say thank you to all who linked up last weekend...
there were a record number of link ups and so many wonderful projects...

Let me show you some of my favorites...

My 1929 Charmer gives us a tour of her front yard garden.

Your Favorite Pins - Week 4

I decided to share the pins from Pinterest that were clicked on the most..
and you have great taste as these are fun to share today....

pinterest source

It's been years and I mean years since I've done any embrodiery and this is a link to get the pattern
for the alphabet...so cute and decorative....

There are so many yummy looking pictures of food on Pinterest, doesn't lemon zucchini bread with a lemon glaze sound delicious! I have never bought a zucchini before so please let me know
if you have a favorite recipe..

I could've shared this yesterday when I shared my love for pink...
The fabric all nicely folded and the containers all labeled and everything in order
is very appealing to me. If you love fabric, you will want to click over because
she shares many more pictures of her space and TONS of fabric!
What a yummy sounding dessert....a marshmallow wrapped up in a crescent roll...
called Hocus Pocus because the marshmallow disappears...

Did you get in on the Elf on the Shelf craze last Christmas?
This blogger has been doing this for three years and so many ideas to have fun with your family!

This picture was enough for me to click over and check it out...a face mask to remove acne scars....
lots of comments on this post and it seems that it works...

Who doesn't love Dr Oz? Hungry Girl shares several lowfat recipes for reducing fat and calories using box cake mixed. This one is using one cup of greek yogurt with a moist style cake..
.

Because I am a lover of shabby chic, I am in love with this planted made with rusty
containers...I will now be on the look out for some to make one of these next year...

I've heard this before but it's just too funny to not share...

Thanks for stopping by
and wishing you all a fantastic weekend!

Don't forget to stop by tomorrow for Sunday Blog Love linky party!

Pink Heaven

There's something about the color pink that is so appealing to me...
it's soft and it makes me smile and dream of adding more pink into our home.
But my DH isn't so fond of pink...
so I stick with dreaming of a pink home
let me show you some of my favorite finds....

Is this not the cutest little kitchenette? This would be such a fun first place for a young person....
or maybe a newly single person...(no, I am very happily married!)
It's a small space but it's super cute!
How fun would this be to have a pink phone? Wouldn't this fit in perfectly in the pink kitchen?
source

This cake is so pretty, I almost would hate to cut into it...
I went to school for cake decorating but have never created anything as pretty as this....

source

As I was looking at pink things, I realized that I was creating a pink home...
wouldn't this be the cutest little girls room?
Although, I think the flying cats are a little scary! :)

source

Pink adirondack chairs! How fun this would be to find some used chairs and paint them
up and flank the door leading outside...

source

This almost looks like it could be in a vintage camper, doesn't it?
Do you remember the juteboxes in restaurants from years ago?
How fun to snuggle in and watchTV, listen to music or even read your
latest book...

source

Now I know I'll never be able to have a pink door, or maybe even want a
pink door...I adore the flowers leading inside and the pink watering cans....
.this space is so pretty...wouldn't this make you wonder
what this home looks like inside?

source

My daughters love Hello Kitty, and I am always on the lookout
for fun Hello Kitty things...is this not the cutest phone cover?

One more day and it's the weekend!
I think I need to see if I have any pink paint
and add one of my favorite colors into my home..
stay tuned!

Thanks for stopping by!
Wishing you all a wonderful Thursday!
