Reorganzing My Organized Spices

This past week, I came across this picture on Pinterest..and love the jars lined up..

and because I have those little jars from Ikea...I decided to reorganize my spice cabinet...

I have one shelf for spices used for baking..

and another shelf for spices used for cooking..
You can read about it here...

While everything stayed nice and organized...
slowly plastic containers were making their way back into the space...
and the labels I had written on, were beginning to get blurry...

I took everything out of the cupboard and gave it a good wipe down
and started making labels with my label maker..

This was a great time to watch a new show I came across on HGTV, called Summer Home
The show turns dumpy cottages into dreamy retreats for cottage living....
might be my new favorite show!
Okay back to my spice cabinets...I did have to stop half way through and make a trip to Hobby Lobby to buy a few more containers...

And here are the spices now with labels are easy to read without moving one to see the other..

It turned out so nice and was mostly no cost, except for the $20 I spent at Hobby Lobby...

The baking spices are still on a separate shelf...
I seem to have more than double the spices for
cooking versus baking..

I bought 4 larger containers for the baking soda, baking powder and cornstarch..with one unused...

The top shelf holds my blue canning jars, sprinkles and my candy of choice - Hot Tamales..

the other side holds the food coloring tubes and ready made frosting...

And here's the revamped space...
newly organized!

(I was given orders by DH not to touch his grilling spices..
so for now, they're safe...)
