A couple of months ago, I found this breadbox at Goodwill and I think I paid $3 for it. I'm sure the people at Goodwill wondered why I would want this dated looking breadbox. And I'm pretty sure some of the customers also lquestioned my purchase & wondered what my house must look like if I was this happy buying this ugly breadbox. (My kids were definitely questioning my sanity, and probably DH was too.)
It's pretty nice huh? Well I wanted to spray paint it but that big ugly wood knot stood out even more with spray paint. I needed to rethink my plan and so the breadbox sat in the garage a little longer. I'm sure DH questioned why I bought it when it was just sitting there.
One day, I happened to be reading A Soft Place to Land and she redid a dresser with Caromal Colors and it looked like something I could handle. So I ordered the kit, it arrived and the breadbox still sat in the garage.
I've come to realize that I am a terrible procrastinator. This was a revelation as I always thought I was a "get er done" kind of person. But I embrace that I need to wait for the right time and not be rushed.
And here's what it looks like now... I just love how it turned out!
We even have bread to put in it!
I put my basket of gingerbread babies on top,
