What I Did With My Shabby Quilt

I'm not sure where I got this quilt but I'm always on the lookout for one...the more fabrics used - the more I love them...and if it's worn. that doesn't really bother me either...

It's been about a year and a half that I bought a sewing machine at an auction for $3..
can you believe it...$3? Well I finally opened it up over the Memorial Day weekend and decided to take this quilt and..

sewed up two pillows...

I even got the fiberfill from Goodwill for $1 a bag...
brand new!

made some cute flowers and added lace from a bag of goodies

that I posted about here...

the only problem is...I like them too much to put them outside..
and I think I need to get a new cushion for my loveseat...

Oh the problems we endure...

Wishing everyone a great week..

The pillows came out great! I've experience the same thing. I go to take a picture of something I've made and lo and behold, the dining table has a gouge in it or the tablecloth has some stains on it. Oh, the little bitty problems. :)

Take care, Linda

How perfectly shabby and cozy! Fabulous use of an old quilt that doesn't make you cry to cut it up.

Absolutely adorable! We have a baby quilt that we use to sit on the beach... but I see it turning into pillows one day! Visiting from Homemaker on a Dime.
