Do You Ever Enter A Giveaway?

I used to work with a gal that entered contests ALL the TIME! She won several TV's, food, clothing, money, giftcards & even trips....

Guess who was asking what she was doing? That's right ---- ME!

Her best advise was to enter as many as you can in order to increase your odds...

Well I tried, but quickly became bored.

But now that it's been a month since I haven't been working, I've been entering giveaways and
I've won a few!!

Let me show you what I've won..

I'm really getting into scrapbooking and I won these brand new Spellbinder Nestabilities!

Check out their site for great crafting ideas!

And I won this really beautiful necklace from Crazy with the Crawfords

And because we are a one income family right now, we are really working the coupons.

I won all these coupons from Living - Laughing - Saving.

So if you are avoiding entering giveaways when you see them, give them a chance.

I don't know about you, but I love to get free packages in the mail.

Dollar Tree Mini Notebooks Altered

I bought a 6 pack of these mini notebooks from Dollar Tree...

for some reason, I can't seem to stop altering things.

(No matter what I do, I can't seem to get this picture to be downloaded showing up.)

Let me show you what four of them look like now...

The chipboard embellishments came from a local dollar store...

I added ribbon that I got from Hobby Lobby...

It was so easy to make and how fun to have one in my purse to pull out when shopping.

I added a flower that I had made from left over scrapbook paper.

I added some distrezz ink to this one to make it look more vintagy.

Each notebook used less than one piece of scrapbook paper.

Another picture that wouldn't download correctly...

I used scrapbook paper to make it look like it's taped up, it turned out really cute.

If I can make these, you definitely can make them too!

The hardest part of making these, was determining what scrapbook paper to use.

Go visit your local dollar stores and pick up a few scrapbook things.

Wouldn't this be a great gift to receive?

Birthday Banner for Ashley

Our youngest daughter, Ashley, was born on Valentine's Day - 21 years ago!

The ice cream cake was delicious - Coldstone makes the best ice cream cakes!

I made a banner with my Cricut machine. 

It's really hard to take decent pictures when the background is the window...

I used the Opposites Attract and Accents Essentials Cricut Cartridges

and added several different embellishments to each letter

I used several of the flowers that I made this past week

and because Ashley loves Hello Kitty, I needed to incorporate one on the banner

Michaels Craft Store had so many cute things for Valentine's Day...

This flower was made out of a coffee filter that I had colored and crumpled up.

Here's the fam sitting ready to chow down.

We had more mashed potatoes than we did roast!
