This summer, we visited DH's parents for a week and my DHM is a very crafty person. She mentioned that she taught herself how to make a braided rug. And they turned out really nice!

That is lovely. My mom used to make those many years ago. I should remind her and see if I can get her to make me one.
I've seen a few "GREEN" blogs that show you how to make those out of those plastic bags you get at the grocery stores, great way to recycle.
