My Scrapbook Flowers and Recycled Storage Tins

I love to make flowers for my scrapping projects rather than buying them. Not only is it much less expensive, I can make it with left over scrapbook paper and make it the color and size of my choice.

First I'd like to show you the flowers that I made over the weekend...

This flower is made from lace, ribbon and scrapbook paper...little time consuming but it turned out so pretty.

I love the pinwheel flowers but still need to work getting the pleats to work completely around the flower.

Since St. Patrick's Day is right around the corner, I'm concentrating on green flowers....

and I made LOTS of green flowers...

But I needed a place to keep these handy...

I turned this International Coffee tin into my storage for flowers.
This tin is for green flowers, hence the green paper and lid....

Not sure if I like the burlap but it's there for now.

My flowers fit in perfectly and when it get's low, I'll know it's time to make some more.

I also made this one for pink or red flowers...you knew this, right?
I only made one flower so I need to get making some of these very soon.

These two flowers were made from coffee filters and they turned out too pretty to use.
I think this is a common phrase of a flower hoarder!

These flowers were also made from coffee filters, holding onto these for a project
I'll make as it gets closer to Easter.

Have you seen enought of my flowers yet? This was one I tried using the cone coffee filters.
It's so tiny and it turned out very cute, perhaps I can make some of these in pink?

Now I just need to get some more coffee tins so I can make more of these for storage...

I'll have to figure something out for these flowers though, since the coffee tins aren't big enough..
If you've got an idea, please let me know..

Your flowers are so beautiful, and I love the coffee tins, turned storage. I have been saving my empty ones, because they are shaped so cute, and now I am going to make some pretty storage for my craft room too. Thanks for sharing your idea. Please stop by my blog sometime.

Saw you on Keeping it Simple.

Pretty flowers, I especially like the pleated ones.

Nice storage boxes. I have some empty formula tubs (from the baby!) that I could do this with! Would your larger flowers fit in one of those?
