My $1 Find This Weekend!

I got this spice rack from a rummage this weekend for $1. I really only wanted the spice jars since I redid another

 cupboard...

I decided to use the rack and cleared out a lot of the clutter.

Doesn't this look nice and organized now? 

I just need to make a couple of labels and it'll be all completed.

Now You See It...Now You Don't!

Here's a picture of our home, with a birch tree that never really looked very healthy. It grew really tall but stayed really skinny. 

We decided to chop it down and today was the day.

Here ya see it....

All cut down....

And it's gone!

Can you believe this patch of pansies is growing in front of the house?

They look really healthy...and very cute!

We worked on the backyard again this weekend and I'll post the pictures this week.

Thankfully she lives in FL, and by that I mean - she's up and out the door on Saturday morning looking for treasures and so am I! 

I love the distressed turquoise color.

More turquoise accents with white...very cute!

She made this sign for her brother and sister-in-law for Christmas. It looks like something from Pottery Barn.

She took a piece of burlap that made to look like a feed sack and framed it..and she explains how to paint on burlap.

She updated an old window into something so unique - I have three windows in my garage...hmmmmm..I think I found my inspiration...

 And last, here's a lamp that she she was able to see more than an oudated lamp. I would've have walked on right on by.
