I am constantly inspired by so many talented people and their blogs.

Back in February, I showed you all the colorful projects done by Attic24 and I wanted to show you what I've been working on...

Lots of these...crocheted granny squares...

I should've kept track of how much yarn I used...

and how many hours I've worked on this while watching "24" off Netflix...

Most of the squares are joined together...

and it's fun to see it come together...

I love the soft colors.......

and I hope to complete it this weekend....

Easter Decorating with Carrots & A Giveaway!

Don't you just love Etsy and all the creative people out there?
Putting Etsy with a seasoned, possibly professional shopper(me) equals TROUBLE!

I recently found Carolyn's blog....Homework and her Etsy store
showcasing some very sweet carrots..
I know...seriously - very cute carrots!

Last year I happened to find this tiered basket at Goodwill for a couple dollars...

When I pulled out the Easter decorations, I forgot about this cute

lamb that I got at Dollar Tree last year...

and I added the carrots(was I right, cute carrots!)

the bottom of my basket holds apples and bananas..
(the bananas were getting ripe and didn't make for a good picture, hence why it's cut off)

DH and I watched Country Strong about a week ago, I loved this movie and would highly recommend that you see it.

I found a job and I start on Wednesday!

I'll be working at a collection agency,

working 40 hours (last job I worked 50+)

and after I'm up to speed - paid by commission

which means more money!

So I am super excited and can't wait to get back to work....

Easter Banner

Earlier this week, I wrote about my issues with decorating the top of the hutch...

well now that I got that tackled, it was time to make a banner for Easter..

I used my Cricut and used two cartridges -

 From My Kitchen - the banner

Easter - the doilies

I got the foam stickers from Michaels

the glittery chipboard letters are from Peachy Cheap that I got quite awhile ago...great place to check out daily!

Scrappy, fringy flowers that I made...

Who doesn't love chickies at Easter time?

I made this banner pretty simple..

I'm usually supervised here..this time by Max - he could hardle keep his eyes opened but yet keeping track of what's going on!

My Easter Tag Swap Project

Easter and spring colors and pictures are so pretty and I was excited to join my first tag swap over at 521 Lake Street.

Let me show off what I received from Rene at My Vintage Mending...

The tag has two bunnies that open up to show off more Easter pretties...

super cute and lots of little details...love it!

Renee also included this tiny Easter basket that she made from a nut cup...

I am so in awe of her work!!

Let me show you what I'm sending to Renee...

My tag started from being inspirated by Prairie Patch and the raggedy flowers that she had made...some stickles on the metal "Believe" sentiment...

I made the bow from interface and added ribbon and chipboard, embellishments...

This ended up being quite the project as I've never made one to give to someone besides my kids and it stressed me out...but I'd do another swap again in a heartbeat...

Also included in the package will be this Easter bunny tassel that I made....

This swap won't be complete without a little chocolate...

Decorating Dilemna Going On

I started putting the St Patrick's Day decorations away on St Patrick's Day and pulled out my Easter stuff...

Things are looking pretty and springy but I was stumped as to how to accessorize the top of the hutch in our dining room. I normally have it one way and it stays that way for a very long time but I decided to give it an update...

Here's what it looked like, some good stuff but yet kind of blah...

So I called on Brenda from Cozy Little House and ask her for help...

If you've never checked out her place, you're in for a treat - her home is so wonderful and sure to make you smile....she has a wonderful place...

Whenever I try to decorate the top of the hutch, I have to work around these light fixtures and cords...

(kind of dusty too!)

I use books to lift things up...and work around the electrical stuff...

well let me just show you...

I used quite a few books this time around...

I pulled out the vintage suitcase that I bought last year at a thrift store...still debating on whether I should paint it or not..

Probably get cracking on my banner this weekend...

I wanted to keep the bunny since I'm going for a spring/Easter vignette..

And the frame stays, love the Subway Art from

 Landee See, Landee Do....

Brenda suggested something green so I added a plant that needs to be up high so the cats don't chew on it...

and put the lantern on a candlestick that I got from Goodwill...

and my decorating dilemna is now solved!
