One Easy Way to Save on Groceries - Meal Planning

One of the things I learned while going through the 20 Days To Organise and Clean Your Home
was the importance of putting together a weekly menu.
Not only does this save time from deciding what to have for supper,
it helps me to plan the grocery list and work to keep the cost of groceries down.

If you have kids at home, this is something that I recommend you do.
The family knows whats on the menu and there's no more last
minute deciding what to do. And possibly you can get the kids or hubby
to help get the meal made?!

While I've planned the weekly menu when the kids were at home,
I am always open to swapping other days around as needed.
Because like life, it's all about being flexible and keeping everyone happy.
You'll also want to keep a few days open for carryout pizza or maybe
going to Subway on Thursdays(free cookie day!)

Wednesday: Free Day
Friday: Breakfast
Saturday: Chicken and Stuffing

I use the free printable from The Organised Housewife
that you can find here

I'd love you to follow me on Pinterest too!

Thanks for stopping by today.

I found your blog through MPM! I agree so much with the importance of menu planning, and it really does save money!! Your menu looks yummy, especially the chicken noodle soup - YUM!

You are so organized. I love that print out. I love to make my menu for the week too and get it out of my mind and know I can see what needs to be taken out of the freezer each day.

Meal Planning has given me so much more time. Over the summer I did a 14 week meal plan and posted about it http://totallylaurenamber.com/2012/10/14-weeks-of-dinners/ Thanks for sharing your meal plan ideas.

I used to plan my weekly menu around the sales when the kids were still at home. I don't plan meals ahead of time anymore, but it is a good idea.
