Top Projects 2010

As 2010 comes to an end, it's time to reflect on what we've accomplished.
Rhoda at Southern Hospitality
and
Kim at Savvy Southern Style

are having linky parties that you'll want to check out and share your accomplishments.

Let me show you my Top 10.....

# 1
We painted our bedroom furniture and completely changed the look and feel of our master bedroom.

# 2
Over the 4th of July, we painted our kitchen cabinets....

# 3
2010 was a year that I really began to take outdated, thrifty finds and turn them into accessories for our home.

#4
I shared how I turned Dollar Tree birds into mercury glass birds.

#5
And despite this terrible picture, I shared our favorite low calorie night time snack.

#6
DH and I made a hallway shutter shelf...we made this for less than $40.

#7
I became obsessed with scrapbooking and making flowers from different materials.

#8
My first scrapbook project, I made a recipe scrapbook for Ashley's sorority
and a fundraiser they were having.
(It sold for $65, crazy huh?)
The picture doesn't do it justice, it did turn out pretty nice.

#9
Canning jars were really popular this year and I have two canning jars in the kitchen,
one for dish soap and another for hand soap.

#10
And the best part of 2010 was that I turned 50 in July!
(When I was 16, 50 seemed so ancient- now that I'm there, it's no big deal!)
DH and I went to Vegas and I got to see Donny Osmond!
(Wow - were our clothes wrinkled or what?)

As for 2011, I've got lots of projects lined up.
Wishing everyone a healthy and happy 2011!

Thanks so much for sharing your best of 2010. Love the idea of the jar soap dispenser. We went to Vegas this year, too when it was way too hot.
