Retail Therapy

Last week at work, I was notified that company wide, there would be a reduction in working hours for the month of March. So I will lose 40 hours of pay this month, which sucks, but what do you do? So today was one of my days off without pay and once again are having winter weather. Ashley is home from college for Spring Break and we're having a snow storm!

So what are two females to do? A little retail therapy....

We had to get to Goodwill and see what great finds were waiting for us. I was looking for one of those wire holders that holds drinking glasses. I saw one on Saturday (treasures that day too!) but it was gone. Oh well, I'll keep watching for one.

Here's what I found today:

I found a huge white turkey platter for $2 - in perfect condition.

Some flea market books - I believe hard cover books are $1.50.

A gold metal shelf that I'm planning on spray painting white (duh) to put in my bathroom.

And I couldn't resist these 3 metal flower pots with tray that I'll also spray paint and put pens and scissors and misc in for my office...

Ashley and I did head to Goodwill on Saturday before we headed to Crystal's house. I found a nice, white platter for $1...

a couple of books...

and a really nice picture with Paris written on it (still in my car - trying to figure out where I'm going to put it.)The picture didn't have a price on it so I went to the counter and asked them how much and they wrote $2 on it..woo hoo!

Ashley is into the clothes so she found a Gap blazer both times! We were both pleased with our finds and probably need to check them out again on Saturday....

I've been working on the bathroom and my office with all of my finds. Hopefully soon I can do some BIG spray painting projects in the garage(weather permitting). Today we had freezing rain mixed with snow and it's nice and cold & windy..I am so ready for spring...

Stay warm!

I'm so sorry about your job. A good friend of my husbands lost his job today. This uncertainty is so scary.

On the bright side, great thrift store finds!

Congratulations!! You won my custom recipe binder. Please email me at babyqtca@gmail.com and let me know what you would like it to say on the front, and include your mailing address so I can get it mailed out to you.

I have fallen behind on blog reading. I am catching up on yours. I noticed your turkey platter. I have one very similiar to that one. I had to go look, not quite the same I don't think. Got mine at a grocery store, you got a great deal on yours.
