A Special Mother's Day Post

I should be working on getting ready for my rummage, that starts this afternoon, but I'm reading blogs. I came across this blog and it touched me and if you haven't read about  Stephanie, I encourage you to watch the video on her blog and read more about her and be prepared to have a lump in your throat.

Happy Mothers Day to all women everywhere!

Sunday Blog Love

This week my Sunday Blog Love goes out to
The Painted Garden.

Her blog is full of pictures of her home, her landscaping, trips to flea markets, cottage gardens, vintage shops and her lovable, four-legged assistant Bentley.
Once I start showing you pictures, I'm sure you'll agree that her blog is amazing.

Now let's take a look some of her blog...

Isn't this set up so beautiful? What do I like? Let's see..the mirror, the flowers, the birdhouse, the picture hanging on the chair..the list is endless.

This would be so perfect in my backyard...

She even painted this watering can for Christmas...she's very talented.

And I was hooked on her blog when I found out she painted this picture.

And is this the most cutest display you've ever seen?
Maybe my family can now finally understand why I'm looking for an old bike...

And Bentley is always by her side, ready and willing to make sure things are as they need to be....
He's so cute....

But we have to get back to the bike...it's all about the bike, or should I say - I need a bike so I can do this...
Can you tell that I really, really love this arrangement?

Okay, last one...just look at the beautiful flowers in the basket...

And another hanging on her fence...very pretty...

What's not to love about this arrangement? Doesn't it make you want to sit down and forget about the world?

Please stop by and visit The Painted Garden and tell her you heard about her from me...

Thanks for stopping by, have a great Sunday!

Precious Letter

Yesterday, I was going cleaning our cupboards and drawers looking for items to sell at our rummage sale for next weekend.

And I found a letter from Ashley, it reminded of a time that I had forgotten about.

Ashley and I always loved Precious Moments figurines but this one has always been Ashley's favorite.

Holding your fingers like this means "I love you."

Whenever Ashley was going somewhere, whether it was to school or outside - we always held our fingers this way. And most of the time, we did it with both hands..meaning we really loved each other.

Ashley was 10 years old when she wrote this letter while
at Bible camp.

Ashley is now 20 years old and a foreign exchange student in Japan and I'm pretty sure she's reading my blog.

So..Ashley....

Here's two pinky loves to you!

Boy, does time ever fly by...

Have a great weekend!

And Ashley - I love you!!
