I found four wood shutters at Goodwill, they were still in the plastic wrapping. I should say DH found them and grabbed them for me..I forgot about taking a picture of them before we starting painting..
Here's the picture of when I remembered that I hadn't taken a picture yet...
Their new home is going to be above this dresser...
We painted them a soft cream color... and attached them so it was one piece...again DH did the work!
And here's the dresser afterwards, no TV in the room now! My orchid from Mother's Day died...
(sorry Crystal and Stuart - I watered it as directed).
Love this littte birdie!
And the variety of textures...
The wicker baskets are courtesy of Hobby Lobby...

Love it! I so need to find some bargain shutters! LOL
What a transformation, the shutters & the dresser look great together now & the vignette on top is just lovely.

I always think shutters add such charm, and yours are no exception. I can't believe what a difference it made to paint that dresser! I had to go back and look at the "BEFORE" to make sue it was the same piece of furniture. It looks so pretty, and the shutters are perfect with it. Wow! What a transformation! I love the way your room turned out and the shutters add just the right touch. Great job! :o)
Those are adorable!!! Love the way they turned out!
You're right. I love the texture that shutters bring to an area!
A great addition to your little vigniette. They're a great size.. you can keep moving them from place to place when you want.
I cannot believe the transformation in that chest and the display is finished off with the shutters.
Shutters make me giddy! The way you've displayed those cuties of yours gives extra prominence to that dresser. Very pretty!
