Metamorphis Monday - I'm Flexible!

You know you're flexible when you can buy Halloween & Christmas decor in the same place. My wonderful Goodwill store is just starting to put out the Christmas decor. Even though I have too many Rubbermaid containers with Christmas decorations in our storage unit, that doesn't mean I'm not always on the look for more.

On Saturday, I found this brown metal cart for $3. I knew I could update it with spray paint. (When I put this in my cart, a lady in the store gave me one of those looks - you know - "Why in the world would you want that piece of junk look!)

I spray painted it pink and will be on my covered deck next year with flowers and vintage finds.(DH thought the table was perfectly fine in brown - interesting.)

It even folds in half, we think it might have come from a hospital? Anyway - I think it's sooo cute!

And I've been reading all of your blogs where you've changed the fabric on your chairs. So I bought some fabric almost a month ago and today DH and I updated our chairs. I knew the chairs were getting dirty but I didn't realize how bad they had become.

And here's the after - the fabric does have small moss green dots in the pattern. I plan on recovering the pillows in the living room in the future.

Check out this outside metal snowman - $3 and it looks brand new.

Be sure to head over to Between Naps on the Porch for more Metamorphis Monday posts.

PS - I'm on vacation tomorrow - I can't decide if I should go visit Goodwill again or not....DH - what do you think?

Our dining room chairs are rosewood with black seats and I've always wanted to cover the seats with a new fabric. Hmmmm....Maybe I should put it on my ToDo list!

You did a great job on the chairs. I covered my chair seats several years ago - they turned out very nice and made a big difference in the room. Had a cramp in my hand from the staple gun for several days, but that is ok. :) Have4 a great week.

I have no idea why there is a 4 after have - just ignore it. Past my bedtime. :)

what a wonderful job you did on those chairs. It is sure hard on the hands, but once you have done it, you'll do it over and over again...lots of fun...thanks for sharing

To answer your question about the Rub N Buff...I have used it on wood and glass so far with great results. I hope that helps you out some :o)
