Too Much Ribbon?

When I started doing paper crafts, I didn't want to become a hoarder of lots of craft items...but it turned out that I am!

Today I want to show you my ribbon collection...

I tried to store my ribbon in one of those Ikea boxes...but it didn't take much before the box was overflowing and unable to shut the lid on the box...

and as I start working on anything...
Max shows up!
Max is my sons cat who is staying with us until he(my son) finds a permanent place to live.

Max is such a sweet cat, you can pick him up and carry him anywhere and he doesn't try to get away or make any sounds...

and he has become my bud!

Always checking out what's going on..

and give me the seal of approval when it looks at me...

But we're talking about my ribbon and how I store it...

I grabbed some clothespins and wrapped each spool of ribbon around a clothespin...

It did take me some time but I did it as I watched The Nate Berkus Show...
(love that show!)

I used rubber bands around some of the clothespins so that the ribbon wouldn't unravel...

and for the shorter lengths of ribbon, I clamped them together with a clothespin...

and now the lid on my ribbon storage shuts...
How cool is that?

I can't take credit for this idea as it's been around for awhile...
give it a try...I now have room for more ribbon!!

I'm linking to these parties....

I used those vintage-ish pegs, and stored them in cute jars, but it's still not enough room! I never realised how much 'stuff' you stash with paper crafts!

But I'm a sucker for buying things just 'cause they look cute, and then can't use them as they are to cute! Madness!

Your ribbon is so pretty on those pegs you could put them in a big basket and use them as a centerpiece!

Girl- this isn't hoarding yet! I am ashamed to admit I AM A HOARDER! Yours is a collection and very well organized.
I am loving Max- look so much like my Pippie.
Thanks for sharing sweetie

You are not a hoarder - you are a creator and you need your supplies. :D
Thanks for sharing the storage idea. Max is a cute one. He obviously likes living with you.

I think all those that craft have a massive supply of ribbon. Great project.

Very nice storage!

And I just love how the cats jumps into the picture. They certainly have a certain sense to know when someone is up to something so they can be the focus of it.
