A Couple of My Thrifty Finds

On Tuesday, Crystal and I were out running errands and of course, one of the errands would be to Goodwill.

I got this gallon jar...I washed it as soon as I got home because it was so dirty..

And I decided to put these

into the jar

because they are stored downstairs and the cats have been caught chewing on the plastic bag...

I also want to show you this picture holder that I got at Goodwill awhile back...

While you can see the peeling paint, it really was peeling paint but not in a good way...

So I took it a part and stripped all of the paint off...

Storm was hanging around for moral support but I think he got tired of waiting...

I painted it a bright red but decided that while I liked the color, it was going to go into the kitchen and I wanted it to fit in quieter.. so when we painted the cabinets, this also got painted the same color...

And I added some flowers made from burlap..

And pictures of our cats when they were kitties...

Aren't kittens so cute? So fuzzy and small...

And now hanging up on the side of our pantry..

I really liked it in the red. But it does fit in well redone in white. Looks so much better.

Oh how cute!! And so precious with your cats "baby pictures" in them. :o) I always thought about creating a little wall of each cat and when our dog was a puppy. :o)
